A teacher since 2001, Amy Cortright has directed the NHS Chorus since coming to Norwell in 2006, where she also works full-time int he mathematics department teaching calculus and algebra. She previously directed the Duxbury High School Madrigal Singers and studied at McGill University with Montreal Symphony Chorus director Iwan Edwards.

John O’Briant joined the NHS faculty in 2006, where he conducts the Symphonic Band, directs the Jazz Workshops and teaches music theory and music history. He has degrees in music education and instrumental conducting from Connecticut College and Radford University (VA), and has studied with composer/conductor Mark Camphouse and NY Philharmonic staff conductor Michael Adelson.
